8.17 pm: fire in electric blanket
An electric blanket has caught fire on the Hermelijnlaan in Veenendaal. The residents and their two dogs were at home and one of the residents were slightly injured by inhaling the smoke. Firefighters have brought out the smoldering blankets and mattresses and extinguished them.
6.39 pm: Fire brigade evacuates homes after fire Veenendaal
A fire broke out just before 6 p.m. in an apartment complex on the Ghandistraat in Veenendaal. Surrounding houses have been evacuated by the fire brigade. The fire broke out in a complex for guided living. The fire brigade managed to extinguish the fire quickly, but could not prevent the house from suffering a lot of damage.

In Bunschoten-Spakenburg a man was arrested this afternoon after a suspicious situation with a possible firearm. Agents in bullet -proof vests and a police helicopter pulled out to arrest the man. Whether he actually had a firearm with him is not yet known.
16.01 hours: Possible toxic sausages found in dog walking area
Foresters in Baarn received a report today that there were pieces of sausage in a dog walking area. The meat was left in a roadside in Lage Vuursche. The forest rangers have removed the pieces of sausage and now have it investigated whether there is poison.
1.45 pm: Customer drops through floor in Winkel
A customer of a store on the Langestraat, the busiest shopping street in Amersfoort, has dropped through the floor. The fire brigade confirms that. Because the victim had back pain after the fall, a special team came from the fire brigade. That took the customer upright from the gap. Then ambulance personnel took care of the victim.
It is not known whether the person was injured.

11.55 am: Director drives through access gate parking garage
A driver drove this morning through the entrance gate of a parking garage on Drentsestraat in Amersfoort. The woman is said to have accidentally pressed the accelerator pedal instead of her brake, says a press photographer who spoke with bystanders. The fence will have to be repaired.
It is not known whether the woman was injured.

11.00 am: Auto burglars strike in Utrecht
Burglars struck several times last night in the surroundings of the Rubenslaan. That is what the Utrecht Center Police Center says on social media. The police are investigating the burglaries and ask residents who have seen something to report that.
6 am: Traffic control in Veenendaal
The police held a traffic control in Veenendaal last night. This started at a company on the Arsenaal, says a press photographer who was at the control. The vehicles would have been checked between 7 p.m. and 1 p.m. Nothing is known about the results.
