In Vianen last night, fires were started in three different places within hundreds of meters of each other within a short period of time. Among other things, two cars went up in flames.

10:00 am: Leusden resident arrested after escalating argument with neighbors
A fight in an apartment complex on the Lambalgerkom in Leusden last night almost ended in a stabbing. After an altercation between two residents, one of them tried to stab the other with a meat fork. In the end, no one was injured. The police intervened and the man was taken to the police station.

A car accident occurred on the A2 near Vianen this evening. Several lanes were closed due to the accident. According to a press photographer, several cars were involved in the accident. It is not known exactly what happened and whether people were injured.
The highway in the other direction was completely closed this weekend due to roadworks. That caused traffic jams today.

Two car fires were extinguished last night on Moerbeistraat in the Utrecht district of Ondiep. It started with a blazing fire in a car that was parked in a residential area. Another vehicle also caught fire, which caused the fire brigade to scale up to extinguish the fire.
The cause of the fire is being investigated. The vehicles were towed away by a recovery vehicle.
