On the provincial road near Heeswijk this evening, a driver flew out of the bend, hit a lamppost, shot across the other side of the road and came to a stop against a tree. Both the driver and co-driver suffered serious injuries, a 112 photographer said. Paramedics stabilized the victims and took them to hospital. The police are still investigating the accident.
