10:46 PM: Images of suspects throwing explosives
The police have released images of the suspects who left explosives on June 4 and 6 at the Braziliëhof in IJsselstein. There is still no trace of the perpetrators, but they have been captured twice on surveillance images.
8:02 p.m.: Collision at the Amersfoort intersection
At the intersection of Abraham Blankaartsingel and Amelisweerd in Amersfoort, two cars collided this evening. One of them came to a standstill against a tree. Bystanders immediately provided first aid while waiting for the ambulance. One driver was stabilized and then taken to hospital with unknown injuries. Both vehicles were towed away by a recovery vehicle. The police are investigating the exact cause of the accident. The road was closed during the incident.
5:54 PM: Car goes up in flames
On the Utrechtseweg in Zeist, a Ford Fiesta caught fire while driving. The flames came out of the hood and then spread quickly. The fire brigade extinguished the fire, but the car could not be saved. The occupants were able to get out in time. The fire caused traffic on the road to come to a standstill.

On the A27 towards Utrecht, two lanes are closed after an accident with a caravan. The delay has now increased to more than half an hour. According to Rijkswaterstaat, motorists who want to go to Utrecht and beyond can better take a detour via the A59 and the A2.
2:25 PM: Car overturned in collision in Amersfoort
A serious accident occurred this afternoon on the Nijverheidsweg-Noord in Amersfoort. A motorist drove into the back of another car. The vehicle hit the pavement and overturned. One person was injured. The police have closed off the area and are investigating the cause of the accident.
11.28 am: Dead man Bunschoten
The deceased man is a 51-year-old Pole with no fixed abode or residence. He had probably been unconscious for some time on a chair in a garden on the Westdijk.
Bystanders called the police. The Pole was in critical condition and had to go to the hospital. There it turned out that he was also injured. The police are looking for witnesses and camera footage.
06:30: Two speeding drivers and illegal possession of weapons
The Utrecht police stopped a motorist who had been drinking too much last night. When checked, he was found to have two knives in his pocket. The driver was arrested for driving under the influence and illegal possession of a weapon.
Two other drivers were caught speeding. One was driving 195 kilometers per hour in a place where 120 is allowed. The other driver was driving 175 after correction in the same place (55 kilometers too fast). Both drivers’ licenses have been confiscated and they can also expect a hefty fine.
6:00 AM: House fire in Utrecht
A fire raged in a house on the Oranje Vrijbuiterskade in Utrecht last night. This caused a lot of smoke development in the courtyard of the complex. Three people were checked for smoke inhalation, they did not have to go to the hospital. The cause of the fire is not clear.
