1 a.m.: Arrow truck rammed, red vehicle missing
An arrow truck was rammed on the A1 near Amersfoort-Vathorst last night. Emergency services arrived on the scene, but upon arrival there appeared to be no one left. Red debris was found at the site of the collision, and red paint can also be seen on the arrow car. A search continued for the vehicle, but without success.
10.30 pm: Car set on fire in Amersfoort
A car was set on fire in the Crocusstraat in Amersfoort last night. Because the fire brigade arrived quickly, the car did not burn out completely. The police are calling on witnesses to come forward.
7.27 pm: House temporarily evacuated after CO report
The fire brigade was called this evening after a CO detector went off at a house on Kerkweg in Zijderveld. One of the residents in the street needed an ambulance. After this ambulance arrived on the scene, a CO detector went off. The house was temporarily evacuated as a precaution. After the fire brigade had taken several measurements, the cause was not found. Residents have been asked to call the fire brigade again if the detector goes off again.
5.26 pm: Car ends up on guardrail A2
A passenger car ended up on the crash barrier of the A2 this afternoon. That happened around 4:10 p.m. near Vinkeveen. There have been no reported cases. However, the car was damaged. Rijkswaterstaat removed the vehicle.
12.55 pm: Police make drug discovery in Utrecht-Noord
The police found a large amount of drugs in a car in Utrecht-Noord last night. The officers received a tip via social media and now have a suspect in mind. That person’s home has been searched. Later that person will have to report to the police station.
8.35 am: Car overturned after collision
A car overturned on the Zuilense Ring near Maarssen last night around 10.35 pm after a collision with another car. It is still unknown how the cars collided. One person has been taken to hospital. It is not known what condition he or she is in. The Zuilense Ring was closed for some time.
8:01 am: Burning object thrown at catering establishment
A flaming object was thrown towards a restaurant at a catering business on the Hof in Amersfoort last night. Upon arrival, a police forensic team found a white substance on the ground, which is still being examined. No one was injured.
