3.50 p.m.: Accident with truck at Hoevelaken junction causes traffic jam on A28

An accident causes a traffic jam on the A28 between Zwolle and Amersfoort. The accident involved a truck and an ambulance is on its way. The right lane is closed and motorists should expect a half-hour delay in the direction of Utrecht.

An accident on the A27 just before the Lunetten junction caused a traffic jam in the direction of Breda earlier this afternoon. There was also a traffic jam on the A28 from Amersfoort in the direction of the Rijnsweerd junction, which caused a delay of half an hour. The traffic jam from the A28 has now been resolved.

2.10 pm: Police arrest Maarssen resident after data trading

Four people have been arrested by the Northern Netherlands police on suspicion of data trafficking, including a 28-year-old man from Maarssen. Data trading involves selling personal data to others for criminal activities.

The police tracked down the suspects through the social media app Telegram. Personal data is traded in various Telegram groups. Following the arrests, the police issued a warning and appeal in various group conversations.

1.40 pm: A27 closed between Lexmond and Noordeloos

The A27 highway between Lexmond and Noordeloos was closed. Rijkswaterstaat reports that traffic has been stopped after a person became unwell. An air ambulance arrived on the scene.

According to the ANWB, it is still possible to drive via the entrance and exit ramps. The traffic jam is causing delays, which are now decreasing. The advice is therefore to take a detour via the A2 and A15.

1.20 pm: Possible shooting during a violent incident last weekend in Leusden

The police are releasing more information about the violent incident last Friday at Middellaken in Leusden, after which the house was closed by the mayor.

Shots may have been fired in the home at night. The police arrived on the scene due to a suspicious situation and found two people there. A 31-year-old man from Leusden had minor injuries and was taken to hospital. A 17-year-old boy was also present. What he did there is not known.

The police suspect that several people were involved in the incident and are appealing for tips or camera images.

12.30 pm: Party in Nieuwegein ended by police

In Nieuwegein, the police ended a party at a Fletcher Hotels location on the night from Saturday to Sunday. An argument on the dance floor got out of hand, after which people started fighting with each other.

After consultation with the hotel owner, the police finally decided to pull the plug. Ending the party went without a hitch.

The police in Utrecht South are looking for a cyclist. The man witnesses a bicycle theft on the Westerkade, in the tunnel under Vaartsche Rijn station. The police emphasize that the cyclist is not a suspect. It is unclear what happened.

8.50 am: Traffic congestion in Linschoten due to collision

A car collided with a truck on the N204 between Linschoten and Woerden. The truck wanted to enter the driveway of the A12 and collided with the car.

An ambulance arrived on the scene and staff checked the driver of the car. A police spokesperson said the injuries were minor.

The car and truck were towed away. The entrance to the A12 was therefore temporarily impassable.
