11-year-old Adhara Pérez Sánchez has an IQ higher than Einstein

11-year-old Adhara Pérez Sánchez showed signs of unusually high intelligence from an early age.
At the age of five, she finished primary school, and then finished high school the following year.
Now she wants to colonize Mars.

Adhara is diagnosed with Asperger’s syndrome which can cause difficulties with social interactions. As a child, she was bullied by other students, and had to change schools three times. During this period, Adhara began to isolate herself more and more. IN an interview her mother said that the daughter was then learning algebra and had memorized the periodic table, all on her own, which the mother believed was because Adhara was bored.

To remedy this, the mother put her daughter in therapy which led to her being placed in a school for children with special talents. There Adhara underwent an intelligence test in which it was concluded that she had an IQ of 162, higher than both Albert Einstein and Stephen Hawking’s who had an IQ of 160.

Dreaming of colonizing Mars

Adhara already has a bachelor’s degree in systems engineering and is now studying a master’s program in mathematics at a university in her home country. Alongside her studies, she also works at the Mexican Space Agency to promote space exploration and mathematics. According to the Daily Mail she wants to explore astrophysics and dreams of working as an astronaut at NASA and traveling to Mars in the future. And her dreams of space may soon come true, as she has been invited to study astronomy at the University of Arizona after the school’s principal is captivated by her story.

– I want to go to space and colonize Mars, she has said in an interview.

She is also currently working on completing her so-called G-tests that will allow her to man flights through a company with ties to NASA that supports young scientists with disabilities. If she passes all the tests, she will be around 17 years old and thus the first autistic person to fly, according to Marie Claire Mexico.
