Krista Pärmäkoski had to leave the Tour de Ski in the middle of the top stages due to stomach disease. Pärmäkoski was third overall in the tour Frida Karlsson and Tiril Udnes Wengin behind before the last two races.

On Saturday morning, Pärmäkoski said on his Instagram account that after a night out, he tried to hang out, but stomach trouble took the win.

According to Toni Roposenka, the stomach disease is of no importance when thinking about the World Championships in Planica in February-March.
– The stomach bug will pass in a few days. I believe that Krista knows deep down that she is in good shape. It bodes well for Planica and the rest of the season, Roponen reminded.
