You can really make a film about anything – even breakfast cereal. The one on May 3, 2024 Unfrosted, which goes online on Netflix, wouldn’t even be the first film about cornflakes; Welcome to Wellville has already had that for breakfast. But it is perhaps the first film about another invention from Kellogg’s: Pop-Tarts.
The toastable breakfast pastry never made it to Germany on a large scale, but that doesn’t have to stop you from snacking on the directorial debut by and with Seinfeld star Jerry Seinfeld on Netflix.
New on Netflix today: Unfrosted – The Pop-Tart Story
Michigan, 1963: Food rivals Kellogg’s and Post engage in a bitter battle to… to create a breakfast treat that will change America. The story is only fundamentally based on true events, to which a lot of amusing nonsense has been added.
