Hey neighbors!
Maybe you think: huh, a rainbow flag in my mailbox?! We would really like you to hang it in your window. Just explain why:
Above all, the rainbow flag is a proud and colorful symbol of the LGBTIQ+ community. A celebration of love in all shapes and sizes.
Unfortunately, the message of love has often been met with violence in response lately. Rainbow flags are stolen or burned, and houses with flags are pelted with eggs. This is not only a threat to LGBTIQ+ people, but it also threatens the freedom of expression of all of us.
That is why we hope that as many local residents as possible will want to hang this rainbow flag in their windows. It doesn’t matter if you are gay, straight, transgender or otherwise: we hope you want to contribute to a real rainbow street. A street that shows: everyone is welcome here.
