In Pokémon GO, the big GO Fest is running this weekend, where you can meet some strong monsters. We at MeinMMO will show you which of them are particularly worthwhile and tell you where you can find them at the event.

What monsters are they about? Every year, a huge GO Fest takes place in Pokémon GO that will span two days. With this you get access to a lot of spawns and bonuses. Some of the monsters are really strong and can enrich your team for raids or the GO Battle League.

Below we show you 10 strong monsters that are particularly worthwhile at GO Fest 2023 and where you can find them. We will also tell you whether you can get them with or without a ticket. The order in which they are listed is based on where they are found in the game.

When is the GO Fest? The GO Fest runs on August 26 and 27, 2023 from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. You can participate with or without a ticket from anywhere in the world.

Why is the monster worth it? The Dragon and Ground-type 4th Gen Kaumalat is one of the monsters you should grab for GO Fest. With Garchomp, it has a strong advancement that has a high attack value.

The monster can convince in raids with a move set of dragon rod and tantrum as a strong dragon Pokémon, as well as a ground attacker with a move set of clay shot and earth powers. This makes it one of the best attackers in Pokémon GO there.

And in the GO Battle League, it also secured a solid 35th place in the Master League with an attack combination of Clay Shot, Tantrum and Earth Powers.

Where can you find it for the GO Fest? During the GO Fest, Kaumalat will spawn in the wild and is therefore available to all trainers, even without getting a ticket. On Saturday you can find it as part of the Pyrite Sands habitat. On Sunday it will then be found wild without a specific habitat.

Is there shiny chewing gum? Yes, Kaumalat is already available as Shiny and can be found in its corresponding form. You can recognize it by its blue body.

Why is the monster worth it? Another strong monster is Meistagrif, the last evolution of Praktibalk. The fighting Pokémon from the 5th game generation convinces with high attack and endurance values. With a counter and slam moveset, it earns a place among the best combat attackers in the game.

Where can you find it for the GO Fest? Although Praktibalk is usually only found in raids, it will spawn in the wild for all trainers during GO Fest. The monster, like Kaumalat, can be found in the Pyrite Sands habitat on Saturday and also spawns in the wild on Sunday without a specific habitat.

Is there a shiny practice bar? Yes, with a bit of luck, Praktibalk can be found as a Shiny. In this form it has a tawny body.

3. Roselia

Why is the monster worth it? The Plant and Poison Pokémon Roselia can also be found at the GO Fest. But you should develop it further into Roserade, because it can score points in raids, especially as a poison attacker with a moveset consisting of poison slash and mud bomb. But it can also be seen as a plant attacker with Razor Leaf and Shrub, making it one of the best attackers in Pokémon GO twice over.

Where can you find it for the GO Fest? Roselia can also be caught by all players in the wild during the event weekend. This is how it spawns in the Malachite Wilds habitat on Saturday. On Sunday it can then be found without a specific habitat.

Does Shiny Roselia exist? Yes, if you’re lucky, you’ll come across a dazzling specimen. This has a black and a purple flower.

4. Tanhel

Why is the monster worth it? You can secure a strong Steel and Psycho attacker with Tanhel. The monster from the 3rd game generation also has a strong further development with Metagross.

While it currently sits 5th as a top Psychic attacker with a Zen Headbutt and Psychic moveset, it tops the list of best attackers of its type as a Steel-type Pokémon with Bullet Punch and Star Punch. In the Masters League, Metagross also secured a solid 43rd place with Bullet Smash, Star Smash, and Earthquake.

Where can you find it for the GO Fest? Tanhel spawns in the Aquamarine Shores habitat on Saturday and in the wild in general on Sunday. It can be found there for all players on both days.

Does Shiny Tanhel exist? Yes, Tanhel can be caught as Shiny. You can recognize it by its silver body.

5. Childworm

Why is the monster worth it? With Kindwurm, a Dragon Pokémon from the 3rd generation of games, you secure yourself another strong attacker. The little monster can be evolved into Brutalanda, which is one of the best dragon attackers in Pokémon GO with a dragon rod and tantrum moveset.

Where can you find it for the GO Fest? Like Tanhel, Kidwurm spawns wild on Saturday in the Aquamarine Shores habitat and Sunday without a habitat. You can also secure it without a ticket.

Does Shiny Kidworm Exist? Yes, the iridescent form of childworm has a green body.

6. Rocara

Why is the monster worth it? The Rock and Fairy-type Pokémon from the 6th generation of games makes its worldwide debut as part of the global GO Fest. So if you haven’t secured it beforehand through one of the live events or the research for early birders, you finally have your chance.

Rocara convinces above all with an enormous defense value. For this reason, it is currently securing first place in the Superliga with a move set of stone throw, stone hail and moon power. So if you are still looking for a strong monster for the GO Battle League, you should secure Rocara.

Where can you find it for the GO Fest? On both event days, Rocara will be found in the level 2 raids. It is therefore available to all players.

Does Shiny Rocara exist? No, a dazzling variant is not yet active in the game.

7. Proto-Kyogre

Why is the monster worth it? During the GO Fest, the proto-form of the legendary Water-type Pokémon Kyogre will also return. Similar to Mega Evolutions, the Proto form is a temporary evolution that is significantly stronger than Kyogre itself.

Kyogre is already the best water attacker in the game in his normal form with a move set of cascade and origin surge. As a Primitive Pokémon, it can top that again. In the Masters League, it ranks 32nd with Cascade, Surfer, and Origin Surge.

Where can you find it for the GO Fest? Proto-Kyogre returns to proto-raids as early as Wednesday, August 23, and will reign through Sunday at 11:00 a.m. local time. After that, it disappears again indefinitely. However, it is available to all players in the meantime.

Does Shiny Kyogre exist? Yes, with a bit of luck you will encounter a purple specimen after the raid.

8. Proto-Groudon

Why is the monster worth it? In addition to Primal Kyogre, its counterpart Primal Groudon will also return to the game. The legendary ground-type Pokémon scores as one of the best ground-attackers in Pokémon GO with a Clay Shot and Abyss Blade moveset. In its proto form it is even stronger and is definitely one of the best attackers of its type.

And the normal form of the legendary monster can also convince in the GO Battle League. It secured second place in the master league with an attack combination of clay shot, abyss blade and fire blast.

Where can you find it for the GO Fest? Just like Primal Kyogre, Primal Groudon will be in the Primal Raids starting August 23rd. On Sunday at 11:00 a.m. it also disappears again. It is not yet known when it will return. Until then, all players can secure it.

Does Shiny Groudon exist? Yes, Groudon can also be caught as Shiny. In this form it is neon green.

9. Mega Rayquaza

Why is the monster worth it? Another global debut for GO Fest is the Mega Evolution of the legendary Dragon and Flying Pokémon, Rayquaza. It already has a high Attack stat in its normal form and a powerful Dragon Rod and Enrage moveset, making it the best dragon attacker in the game.

His Mega Evolution is even stronger and also lets you learn a new move: Zenith Striker. This could come in handy right away in Master League, where Rayquaza’s normal form takes 14th place with a Dragon Rod, Broadside, and Zenith Striker moveset. So Rayquaza should not be missing in your team.

Where can you find it for the GO Fest? Mega Rayquaza will be available in Mega Raids from 11:00 local time on Sunday until the end of the event. It can be earned there by all trainers.

Please note, however, that you not only need mega energy to trigger your own mega development in Rayquaza, but also a new item, a meteorite. You get this as a reward from research tasks.

Does Shiny Rayquaza exist? Yes, if you’re lucky, you’ll encounter an iridescent Rayquaza with a black body.

10. Mega Diancie

Why is the monster worth it? Diancie can also be caught for the first time worldwide at the GO Fest and temporarily developed with the help of the corresponding Mega Energy. Previously, both forms were only available at live events.

But the development can be really worthwhile, because the mysterious rock and fairy Pokémon from the 6th generation of games can score in its mega form with high attack and defense values. This makes it one of the best attackers of its type and should therefore not be missing from your team.

Where can you find it for the GO Fest? Diancie and its Mega Evolution are exclusive to Ticket Holders. You can find the Mythical Pokémon as a reward in the corresponding special research that you will receive on Saturday. You can get the Mega Energy by completing Rocara Raids.

Is there Shiny Diancie? No, the dazzling version is not yet available in-game.
