We’re in the middle of November – high time for a Harry Potter marathon! If you don’t have the films on your shelf, you can now immerse yourself in the fantasy world on Amazon Prime Video. The franchise includes eleven films in total. The streaming service offers ten of them as a subscription. The latest part is missing.
Early Christmas present for fantasy fans: Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts on Amazon Prime
At the end of February, Amazon Prime Video removed the Harry Potter films and the spin-offs based on the fantastic beasts from its offering. Now you can get lost in the corridors of Hogwarts again and experience one exciting adventure after another, including the Wizarding World of New York and Park.
The Fantastic Beasts films, which take place before the main series, provide the international impact. The story revolves around magizoologist Newt Scamander, who travels the world in search of animal creatures and is drawn into a conflict between Dumbledore and the evil wizard Grindelwald.

The only film from the Wizarding World that is missing from the Amazon Prime streaming subscription is Fantastic Beasts: Dumbledore’s Secrets. The third and probably final part of the animal series was released in cinemas two years ago and can currently only be streamed with various purchase and rental options.
Why doesn’t the Fantastic Beasts series continue?
Five films based around Newt Scamander were originally planned. However, since some of the films performed worse at the box office, the studio Warner Bros. has put the brakes on for the time being. The focus is now on a remake of the Harry Potter books, not for the screen but for television.
With total box office revenue of almost $10 billion, the Wizarding World is still the most successful fantasy franchise.
