What is the end of time anyway, what kind of games are these? An “End Times” scenario describes a post-apocalyptic world, i.e. a setting that takes place after a huge catastrophe that has changed the entire world.
The setting is often the real world or an alternate reality, perhaps years or decades after a nuclear war, natural disaster, or other type of destructive violence.
The games listed here all have in common that you play in a destroyed world and have to find your way around, survive or rebuild it. They are desolate scenarios where you must make the best of the shattered world.

What is Frostpunk about? In Frostpunk you lead a group of people who were able to flee the eternal cold after a climate catastrophe in 1886. You are the boss of a city that you have to manage and that you help to overcome the cold. Steampunk-like steam technology is available to you for this purpose, with which you provide heat.
How to play Frostpunk: Frostpunk is based on the need to constantly make difficult decisions: do you force children to work, or do you risk generators failing and part of the city freezing to death or starving to death? Can you keep people happy and still make sure everything keeps going under adverse circumstances?
At its core, Frostpunk is a building strategy and simulation game. Accordingly, you will spend a lot of time planning your city and researching new technologies. But you also have to do justice and take care of your survival. Survival elements are also present, which is why Frostpunk is one of our best survival games.
Frostpunk should also get a second part. A release for it is still pending. There is now a Steam page for Frostpoint 2, but the date just says: “coming soon”.
