1. One Piece trailer shows the beginnings of the pirate gang and the fans are excited

A first look at One Piece was shown at Tudum, a fan event hosted by Netflix’s official companion website. In the trailer we get a glimpse of the pirate gang in the live-action adaptation and a start date on Netflix.

One Piece currently includes 104 manga volumes and over 1,000 episodes of the anime series and is probably one of the most anticipated live-action adaptations. Now we finally get an insight and get to know Luffy’s crew.

By the way, in an anime game you can fight your way through hundreds of crowds of opponents with different characters from the one-piece universe.

What is the trailer about? The trailer reveals that the eight episodes focus on the early days of the anime series. They show Luffy, Zoro, Nami and the others forming the Straw Hat Pirates gang to search for pirate treasure.

At the end of the trailer, August 31 is mentioned as the start date of the series.

How is the trailer received? There are already over 8,700 comments under the video on Netflix’s English-language YouTube page.

One comment with over 14,000 likes reads, “I hope Netflix has the budget to produce the remaining 1,000 episodes of the anime.” User Ronaldo Everton received several replies with laughing emotes.

Commenting on the trailer, Mother’s Basement says, “The cast will likely get more attention for how well they embody the crew, but the show’s team, particularly the production designers, deserve a big round of applause for the stunning visuals.”

User Abhilash Muraleedharan hopes the live-action adaptation will be a success: “Dear Netflix… Please don’t mess this up. This is very important to us and we want you to be successful with a good adaptation.”

The top comment below the trailer on Netflix’s German-language YouTube account is: “The series comes with the original German speakers!” Flowaner Zzzz received over 200 likes for it. Many users respond that they are very happy about it.

Under the YouTube video of the Tudum event, the first comment is “One Piece starting at 2:14:40 if anyone wants to know.” – Prin Ren TG gets 770 likes for it. The other two top comments are also about One Piece.

In addition to One Piece, new impressions of Squid Game, Bridgerton and a new trailer for the third season of The Witcher were shown during the event, which makes us miss Henry Cavill even more.
